About JDMSpec

If you're on this page, you may be wondering, who is JDMSpec and who are the people responding to your emails and shipping orders?

My name is Stan, and I'm the founder of JDMSpec. I'd like to share a bit about myself and how I developed a fondness for import cars. When I was in middle school, I had an interest for Ferrari's and Lamborghini's. I'd see an F40 or F50 on those very special days, and was in complete awe. It's fair to say that living a few miles from Crystal Cove here in SoCal, increased my chances of seeing an exotic car on the daily. When I was in high school, I discovered the import scene and fell in love with the Honda S2000; thanks to the Black Veilside S2000 in Fast and Furious. Whenever I had the opportunity, I would ask my dad to drive me to the LA Convention Center, so that I could attend HIN (Hot Import Nights) and Import Revolution events. I would also beg him to take me to local S2000 meets, so I could check out all the modified S2000s, and plan how I would build my very own. My room was stacked with Import Tuner and Super Street magazines and I would play Fast and Furious on repeat, memorizing every aftermarket part on the MKIV Supra, S2000 and R34; good times, huh? I have such fond memories of those days, and I hope to share the energy from that era with our customers. 

Upon graduation, fueled by a passion for the Japanese automotive culture and the dream of owning a Honda S2000, I launched my own business importing genuine JDM parts. I proudly ran the business for about seven years, but ultimately decided to close shop. This decision was primarily due to a significant shift in the market, where customers opted for replica parts at a fraction of the cost, impacting our business in its later years. However, I'm happy to share that I'm back to doing what I'm passionate about, albeit on a part-time basis. And as always, we remain committed to offering only genuine JDM goods, delivered straight to your doorstep.
